Our Story
We are proud to say that for almost 40 years, Sharon Young Inc. has been a leader in creating innovative women’s apparel. We embrace our customer, a sophisticated woman, who is over 35, wants body-positive attire with comfort and style. Our core customer wants to look great and feel great regardless of age or body type. Through research and development of fabrics yarns, fit engineering, and repeated testing, SYI, provides solutions, and is the undisputed leader in figure-flattering, shaping, and confidence building apparel. Our brands can be found in top retailers and specialty boutiques all across the US and internationally.
As one of the country’s most innovative women’s clothing manufacturers and distributors, SYI, which was founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1984, and re-energized in 2006, with the current ownership of Ed Vierling and Sam Klapholz, the company has blossomed through the launch of new brands and acquisitions to now offer 7 brands, across a variety of lifestyles, including golf.
SYI has spent decades researching, developing, reinventing, testing, perfecting, fine-tuning, and executing the art and science of fashion design, innovation, and production. Along the way, it has enjoyed nine appearances on the Inc. 500/Inc. 5000 list for the Fastest Growing Private Companies in America, and winner of the Dallas 100 award for being one of the fastest growing companies in the city.
Today, SYI is a destination wholesale marketplace where retailers come to discover their next bestsellers for style conscious and confident women.

OUR MISSION
To create products that make our customers look great, feel confident and perform for our merchants.
OUR COMMUNITY
We’re always looking for ways to give back to the community. We delight in participating in the Susan G. Komen Walk, collecting toys for Brother Bill’s Helping Hands, donating to the Tim Tebow Foundation, or supporting the local Dress for Success chapter. We’re on a mission to help and boost the spirits of those less fortunate.
